My family has always had a dog as long as I can remember, as a child I pretended to be a dog all the time! There are pictures to prove it. The first dog I remember was Cricket, she was off white and semi-fluffy she was basically a mut. After her we had Alice, she was black with short scruffy hair, another mutt. Then we had Vince, who was black with a little orange and white coloring around the face and chest. He looked sort of like a doberman pinscher. I loved that dog. He slept at the foot of my bed and was my best friend and protector. While we still had Vince my parents got Homer, a Dauschaund. As a puppy he was very playful and cute. He is a needy and cuddly dog. After Vince died we got Margie a Lhasa-Apso. She is mostly white with a few black spots. Her skin is slightly pink and covered in black spots. While I was at school my parents got two chocolate lab puppies, Molly and Blusephorous. Molly is very energetic and loves to run. Blue is calmer and more patient. He is very smart and loves to cuddle.
Being a single college student that lives in an apartment I rarely see dogs. I desperately miss dogs so I have been watching dog shows whenever they are on. I have learned a lot about breeding and different dog breeds. It inspire me to do some research to find the perfect dog for me. Well there are thousands of different kinds of dogs and some are better for families, apartments or hunting. So for the next few blogs I will discuss my favorite types, most unusual and dogs that I would like to have one day. I hope to get a dog after I have graduated and settled somewhere that will allow me to own a dog.
