Happy Belated Birthday to Emily and Dave

So this is a little late and I am behind but the meaning is still the same. In celebration of their birthdays (March 6th and March 22nd) I would like to say a few words about both of them.
I am proud to call Emily my sister. I really look up to her and she is such a good example to me. Honestly when I look to the future I hope that I can be just like her.
Dave is an awesome brother-in-law, father and husband to my sister. Whenever I get freaked out about getting married I just look at their relationship and I am reminded that marriage can be awesome and work out.
I love them both and am so blessed that they are in my family!

Best FHE Group Ever!

Seriously! My FHE group is amazing this semester! We have really fun activities, this week we did Iron Chef, the lessons are really spiritual and everyone really supports each other. I was over at my FHE brother's house and he asked me what I needed. It completely caught me off gaurd I was stunned and didn't know what to say. I can't even remember the last time someone has said that to me and genuinely meant it.

Crazy Dreams

Lately my dreams have been increasingly psychotic. The first one went something like this.
I was doing a cooking demonstration and I wanted to impress my audience so I had my suex chef fetch a very large koi that I was keeping in the swimming pool just for the occasion. I then proceded to cut the fish so that I could cook it. The flesh of the fish was really oily and had a weird texture and it was really gross, keep in mind I am a vegetarian and I don't eat meat- ever. It was really gross and I felt nasty for a long time after that.
I seem to have crazier dreams when I am sick. Don't worry there are more to come!

Gummy Bears

I love gummy bears! There is something so delightful and satisfying about those chewy yet tasty little bears.

The other day I got a genius idea to try to make it myself, this is what happened.

The first recipe I tried called for 1 3oz box of jello and 7 packets of unsweetened unflavored gelatin. Mix together add 1/2 cup of water, mix again put on low heat and let it melt. Then pour it into the molds and freeze it for 10 minutes. Sounds tasty right?

Wrong. I couldn't even taste the jello they were just really chewy and rubbery. It was really gross.

But at this point I'm still hopeful. After searching for hours I found a different recipe. Mix jello and 1 tsp of gelatin add hot water, disolve and pour into trays. Basically this recipe tasted good, it was like intense jello but it made a huge mess when it spilled all over the fridge and I couldn't get it out of the mold.

Don't worry I have a plan 3. I found this reciepe that sounds really good, it calls for actually fruit juice! I might wait until I am at home to try this one because I will have more supplies. Unless I get bored or someone joins in on this crazy adventure.

Orange and Purple?

A friend mentioned that she wanted an orange and purple wedding, so I did a little research to see how it could work and here is what I have found.
I've only just begun to scratch the surface but so far I am really excited because it is going to be beautiful!
